About us

Meaningful pieces from what already exists.

Atelier Marguerite is a family-founded brand created by two sisters, Julie and Celine, together with their mother Sandra. Rooted in a shared appreciation for beautiful textiles, craftsmanship, and objects made to last, the brand was born from a desire to create meaningful pieces from what already exists.

We work exclusively with surplus fabrics sourced from renowned European fashion houses and the Norwegian furniture and interior industry — giving exceptional materials, once at risk of being wasted, a second life through timeless pieces for home and travel.

Every product is made locally in Oslo in collaboration with Sisters in Business, supporting women with immigrant backgrounds through meaningful employment and craftsmanship.

Our collections are shaped by the textiles we discover along the way. Every collection is unique and produced only in limited quantities.

Marguerite

The woman behind the name

Atelier Marguerite is named in honour of our grandmother, Marguerite.

Born into a family of tailors and furriers in Oslo in the early 20th century, she grew up surrounded by fabrics, skilled hands, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. From an early age, she developed a strong appreciation for quality, precision, and the beauty of well-made textiles.

As a young woman, her journey led her to Paris, where she worked alongside the renowned fashion designer Jacques Fath — an experience that shaped both her eye for elegance and her understanding of timeless design.

Her life, values, and genuine love for craftsmanship continue to inspire everything we create at Atelier Marguerite.
