Guided by Marguerite
The finest stories rarely begin with a product. They begin with an idea. That we can create something beautiful from what already exists. That an exquisite textile doesn't lose its worth simply because it was left over. That fine craftsmanship still has a place among us, and that the people behind the products deserve to be seen.
This is why we created Atelier Marguerite – a family business founded in 2025 by three women, across two generations, with a third as their inspiration.
Three generations, one idea
Julie, Celine and Sandra, two daughters and a mother, are the women behind Atelier Marguerite. The name is a tribute to Marguerite: grandmother to Julie and Celine, and mother to Sandra. With her as our inspiration, we build on values that have always run deep in our family: fine craftsmanship, quality, and an eye for the beauty in everyday life.
Atelier Marguerite
We create thoughtfully designed collections for home and travel, produced in limited quantities from surplus textiles sourced from established European fashion houses and quality suppliers. These textiles may come from overproduction in the fashion industry, or from remnant stock in the furniture and interior trades – materials that already exist, and that we believe deserve a new life.
Production takes place locally in Oslo, in partnership with Sisters in Business, who combine social sustainability with skilled craftsmanship.
In the time to come, we'd like to invite you a little closer. Behind every product are stories we long to share – about the textiles we find and where they come from, and why these particular ones were chosen to live on. About the knowledge, experience and craftsmanship behind every single seam. About the women who sew our products.
We'll take you behind the scenes at Atelier Marguerite – to the people, the materials and the moments that shape what we create. Because the finest things often begin long before they become a product.
